Based on a set of Pugin-style oak chairs that Robert had made for several decorating projects, subsequently joining the Robert Kime collection in the early 2000s, now being revisited. A beech frame, traditionally upholstered with spaced nailing detail and chamfered edging, this style of chair is synonymous with the chairs A.W Pugin designed for the House of Lords and House of Commons, in a Gothic Revival style.
Robert Kime furniture is crafted by hand in England in our own workshops, using traditional methods and materials. All of the wood used is PEFC & FSC certified. Like everything at Robert Kime, the styles are based on references and examples from our archive and Robert’s personal collection and design.
