All Robert Kime Ikats are made in the traditional way, hand-dyed and woven on narrow looms in Uzbekistan. As a fabric type, the pattern of a handwoven ikat includes runs of colour, small slubs and threads typical of the craft process. The design mirrors itself every two metres, whereupon a narrow undyed line indicates the repeat. This is entirely intentional and serves to underscore the designs’ authenticity for which Robert Kime Ikats are unmatched.
